ABBank was established in December 2002.
The Bank started as a specialist in the sector of shipping and since the early days of its operation, it gained the trust of the participants in this demanding and specialized market. It was soon found among the major trustees of syndicated loans in Greece.
With due regard to its customers and partners, the Bank aims to also develop in other sectors of economy apart from shipping.
After a thorough investigation and assessment of the constantly changing economic environment and market’s current needs, the Bank has extended its activities by providing banking and investment products and services to a wide range of customers, including Individuals, Medium-size and Large enterprises.
From the privately owned offices in Maroussi, where Bank’s headquarters are hosted, and its branches in Piraeus and Glyfada, ABBank offers long-term support and commitment to its customers.
In March 2019, the independent credit rating agency Standard and Poor’s published the credit assessment of ABBank. The Bank was assessed with a credit rating B, with stable outlook for both short and long term horizons, the highest capital adequacy ratio in Greece and one of the highest in Europe.
The Bank is supervised by the Bank of Greece as well as by the European Supervisory Authorities, which are responsible for the supervision of banking institutions.
