Theodoros Afthonidis
CEO

The founder and CEO of ABBank. He previously held senior positions at Citibank, Barclays and Greyhound Corp. in Greece and abroad (1972-1989). In 1989 he led the MBO of Greyhound’s shiplending business through Euro Finance Services SA, where he served as CEO until 2002.

Konstantinos Hadjipanayotis
Deputy CEO

Co-founder of ABBank and Deputy CEO since its inception. He held positions at First National Bank of Chicago, Greyhound Corp and several major shipping companies. He was Vice-President of Euro Finance Services S.A.

Dimitris Daispyros
CRO

Senior Vice President

Head of the Risk Management unit since the establishment of the bank. He previously worked in Greece and abroad with Euro Finance Services SA (1999-2002), ABN AMRO Bank NV (1997-1999) and Informa Group, UK (Business Information of MRC).

Philippos Tsamanis
Head of Shipping

Senior Vice President

With ABBank since its inception. Previously, he worked for Euro Finance Services SA (1995-2002). Since 2006 he has managed the Business Development Department and since 2008 the Shipping Department.

Argyro Theodoropoulou
COO

Senior Vice President

She has 48 years of management and banking experience in major American and European banks and financial institutions (Continental Illinois, ABN AMRO, Greyhound, Euro Finance).

Anastasios Afthonidis

Head of Strategic Planning since 2018 with active participation in the Bank's Corporate Planning. He has 20 years of experience in the Banking sector holding senior positions in Administrative and Financial Services.

Georgios Kalatzis
CFO

Senior Vice President

He has been working at ABBank since 2003. He previously worked at the Investment Bank of Greece SA-IBG (2001-2003) and at Praxis International Securities & Investments SA (1998-2001).

Antonis Gounaris
Treasurer

Senior Vice President

He joined ABBank in 2017, with more than 30 years of experience in the banking sector, having served in various positions in the Treasury departments of Citibank and the National Bank of Greece and as Treasurer and Assistant General Manager of Probank.

Dimitris Anagnostopoulos
Senior Advisor to the Management

Member of the ABBank' s  Board of Directors since 2010. From 1989 to 2009, he was Head of the Shipping Department of ABN AMRO Bank, Greece. Previously, he held positions at Onassis Group, Continental Illinois Bank and Greyhound Corp.
